This qualification aims to provide learners with the underpinning knowledge and understanding of a range of topics within the Information and Digital Technology environment. These topics will allow learners to develop practical and theoretical approaches to solving problems and finding solutions using Information and Digital Technologies.

The objective of the OTHM Level 3 Diploma in Business Management qualification is to provide learners with an in-depth understanding of the operations and structure of businesses. The qualification will provide learners with the underpinning knowledge, understanding and skills associated with business activities. It will prompt research, investigation and review of aspects of business which include Business Communication, The Business Environment, People Management, Customer Service, Finance and Marketing.

Level 3 Diploma in Applied Statistics has been designed to introduce learners to the purpose and aims of statistical analysis and the main statistical techniques that can be used within organisations. This will provide information and support decision making and an understanding of how statistics are used and may be misused in this context.

The units give learners the knowledge to identify and use relevant statistical information in a business context and to interpret and validate statistical information, identifying any bias, as well as to produce information of their own. They will learn the main statistical techniques used in business and when and how to apply them and they will gain an understanding of the use of ICT in supporting the collection and analysis of data. The knowledge of statistics will support learners in other areas of study relating to business such as marketing and finance.

The ATHE Level 7 Extended Diploma in Accounting and Finance has been designed to enhance the advanced knowledge and skills required by senior finance professionals. Learners completing this qualification will be able to work strategically in finance at a corporate level. Areas of study include financial reporting, mergers, and acquisitions, management accounting, audit, and compliance. The Level 7 Accounting and Finance qualification is available as a 100-credit Extended Diploma. The qualification is graded Pass, Merit, or Distinction.

Overview 

The aims of this qualification are to develop knowledge, skills and understanding in a progressive range of subject areas from Level 4 through to Level 5, offering learners an integrated pathway of learning through skills pertinent to junior management roles to those more relevant to middle management roles (eg business adviser, sales consultant, market researcher, market research analyst, business development manager, account manager, departmental manager, practice manager, customer service manager, personal assistant, improvement specialist) and progressing in higher education. The
qualification also focuses on the development of those study and transferable skills necessary for
learners to develop and grow both personally and in the working environment.

The ATHE Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care is a 60-credit qualification and is the equivalent level to an A Level or Access to HE qualification. It has been designed for learners who wish to progress to a health and social care degree but may not have the traditional entry qualifications usually required.

It provides learners with an opportunity to engage with the challenges facing professionals and policy makers in their own country. It will provide knowledge that underpins the ability to work as an effective manager in the education sector. It combines both theoretical and practical knowledge in the education profession and will develop and enhance knowledge and skills in the areas of leading change, effective performance and team leadership. Learners will be able to work in a variety of roles within education administration and/or management.

The objective of OTHM Level 3 Diploma in Law is to provide students with a grounding in the legal system of England and Wales. The qualification will help students understand how the legal system operates, how the legal system works as a function and some of the key laws that underpin the legal system. Students will be able to develop their academic skills and capabilities around law and prepare them for further study.
